I am using Office 2003. Up until recently, when you opened a new Word
document, it appears in a new window with it's own icon on the task bar. When you clicked the cross in the top right hand corner of the screen, only that instance of Word closed down and others remained. Recently Word has started opening multiple documents in the same window so there is only one icon in the task bar and you have to go to the [Window] menu in Word to switch to another document. Also, this means that when you click on the cross, it closes down all the open documents, as they are all inside the same instance of Word. How can I get back to the original way of working? |
