This may be a minor issue but when I'm editing test and want to delete a
block of text, I'm always prompted to confirm the delete. Is there any way to turn the prompt off? |

Try this:
Select Tools options General tab and deselect "Help for WordPerfect users" and "Navigation keys for WordPerfect users".
