Default My mailmerge field is being cut off at 151 characters

I've searched through other posts, and have seen references to 255 byte
limitations, but I have a 208 byte field that is being cropped to 151
characters.

The document template is just running paragraphs - nothing special - no
tables, etc.

The first 151 characters is displayed, actually taking up two lines
(wrapping to the second) and appears to be cut off rather than wrap to a 3rd
line.

Is there a way to indicate how much room on the mailmerge document the field
is allowed to display?

Any help is appreciated.

Dave

Is the mailmerge field that is being cropped in a table? If so, make sure
the cell containing it does not have "Fit text" checked (e.g. Table|Table
Properties...|Cell|Options )

If not, what is the data source, and which version of Word?

Is there a way to indicate how much room on the mailmerge document the
field
is allowed to display?

Are you trying to limit the text to a specific area, and what do want to
happen if it is too large?

Ok, thanks. As it turns out, this one field had been created in a one cell
table, and your "Fit Text" suggestion took care of things.
