I have a purchased copy of Office 2007 which I have not deployed yet. the
reason is many of my Word addons are not yet ready for 2007. Is there a way to receive a Word 2003 document with Office 2007 and convert it back to 2003 on the same computer? |

When you open a .doc file in Word 2007 it open in compatibility mode. You can
then save the document as either a .docx (the new format) or as a .doc (the old format). Thanks. But in order to reopen it again in MS Word 2003, wouldn't I need the
actual 2003 application installed? "DougieVan" wrote: When you open a .doc file in Word 2007 it open in compatibility mode. The issue is that I use editing software which thus far is only compatible
with 2003. On the other hand I want to deploy Office 2007 for everything else. The real question is can I have both Word 2003 and Word 2007 on my computer at the same time? You can have both applications on the same PC
You can open Word 2003 doc format with 2007 You can open Word doc format saved from 2007 on Word 2003 There is a converter available for 2003 to open DOCX (2007 format). So you either stick with Word 2003 which you presumably know how to use or install and learn to use the radically different 2007. As you have not identified yout 'editing software, it is imposible to guess what issues are involved. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Garysolo wrote: The issue is that I use editing software which thus far is only compatible with 2003.
