Default Trial CD

I have a free 60-day trial CD of Office Professional 2007 amongst which
Word 2007.
If I install it on my computer (XP) which already has Word 2003 etc on
it, can they co-exist?
What happens after 60 days when I want to remove the 2007 programs, will
my 2003 programs remain unaffected?
Thanaks in advance
Gus

Yes, they can co-exist as long as you do not select the upgrade option. When
it expires, the 2007 programs become viewers. Please note that their default
format cannot be read by 2003, you need to do a Save As and change the type.

(Having said all of that, if you aren't going to buy Office 2007, why go
thru all of this for 60 days? It's different if you really are considering
the upgrade. I've read too many issues with trial versions that I'm
skeptical and wish more people would think long and hard before installing
them. exhale Sorry - I needed to get that off of my chest.)

Hi Gus,

The default behavior for the 60 day trial is to leave in all of the older Office versions. However, if you want to use Outlook 2007
that can be a bit of a problem as you can't have 2 Outlook versions. You can use the custom install feature to choose to remove
Outlook 2003 and install Outlook 2007 as part of the install.

If you later decide to use Office 2003 the .PST file that Outlook uses should not be a particular problem.
