It should but it isn't working. I have a paragraph that I applied a style
to. Over that style, I directly applied bold and italic formatting. I then selected the paragraph and pressed Ctrl+Q, but the bold and italic formatting remained. I tried it with the paragraph mark both selected and deselected. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Ctrl+Q should remove direct paragraph formatting and Ctrl+Spacebar direct font formatting. -- Suzanne S. Trudy,
Note that bold and italic are font properties and not paragraph properties. Therefore, you need to use Ctrl+Spacebar (instead of Ctrl+Q) to remove the formatting. Direct formatting of space before, space after, alignment, etc. (properties specified via the Paragraph dialog box) can be removed using Ctrl+Q. -- Regards Lene Fredborg DocTools - Denmark www.thedoctools.com Document automation - add-ins, macros and templates for Microsoft Word "Trudy" wrote: It should but it isn't working. Thank you Suzanne, that is very clear now indeed.
Is there a way to remove both paragraph and character direct formatting, while keeping both paragraph and character styles? (Ctrl + space remove the character styles). Evelyne |
