Insert / Overtype keys dead
Please can someone tell me what may be preventing both of the Insert keys
from working on my keyboard. Because neither of them work I have had to set up a keyboard shortcut by accessing:- Tools; Customise; Keyboard; Categories; All Commmands then scroll down to "Overtype"! Though this option shows "Insert" as being the key to activate the feature, it does not work so I have allocated [Ctrl + Shift + I] (which was unassigned to any other shortcut) & that activates the function. Have you tried a different keyboard? It could be a hardware problem.

Rupert B Hi Suzanne & readers. Don't have a clue how it came to be there but the cause was a tick in the (Use the Ins key for paste) box. Thought I would briefly respond just in case it happens to anyone else. Thanks anyway for your response, such help would be sorely missed. Rupert B |
