In Word 2002 or 2003, when you are using bullet points, you can press enter
and another appears, when you press tab, it indents that bullet point. Mine
was somehow turned off, how can I get that functionality back to indent the
bullet point again?

Select Tools AutoCorrect Options AutoFormat As You Type tab and turn on
"Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces".
