I work for a company who will not take no for an answer to not edit my word
files that contain styles. When I get the files back each time, I go through agony trying to "fix" the newly-created styles and horrendous problems they have caused the file. What simple advice can you give me? |

No, that won't work, they think they have to edit the text inside the word
file. I guess I'm just looking for a simple solution to avoid styles corruption. "Jezebel" wrote: Send your documents as PDFs. "Donna" wrote in message ... Donna,
I guess you could limit their possibilities by protecting your styles from editing. In Word 2003, protect document task pane, check the first option and click on settings. You will be able to limit the editing of the styles. You could also limit the editing possibilities. All these options go together with password protection, so I guess this is not an option for you since you send the file to them. -- Luc Sanders (MVP - PowerPoint) "Donna" schreef in bericht ... In that case, increase your fee to include the cost of fixing the mess they
create. Therre's no effective way absolute to prevent style changes, that doesn't render the document unusable by novice users. "Donna" wrote in message ...
