Default Is there a way to prevent overwriting a file in Microsoft Word?

Is there a way to prevent overwriting a file/document in Microsoft Word? Had
an instance when trying to save document to USB - prompted to overwrite file
- answered yes when rushed and not really thinking - overwrote finished draft
with first version. Wondered if "overwriting" feature could be disabled?
Thanks

No. Be more careful. That's what the prompt is for.

And NEVER save documents directly to removable media such as USB. It's a
sure-fire road to document corruption.
