AutoCorrect works the same way in Word 2007 as it did in Word 2003.
Worth mentioning, however, is the fact that a new Normal Template (Normal.dotm) is created for Word 2007 which does not contain any formatted AutoCorrect entries you may have had in your old Normal.dot. Also, if you used to share formatted AutoCorrects between Word and Outlook by using Word as your Outlook editor, you can no longer do that as the Outlook editor in 2007 has its own Normal template (NormalEmail.dotm). -- Enjoy, Tony "tlynnr2" schreef in bericht ... Brilliant!!!!!
This is exactly the reason I have not upgraded to 2007, neither will I!!! Anybody with access to Microsoft developers? To tell them to restore this function? Moreover does anybody know how you can permanently load the 2003 normal.dot to the templates in 2007? It works while word 2007 is running but every time you restart word, you need to manually add the normal.dot. Hi ?B?QXJlbmQ=?=,
Moreover does anybody know how you can permanently load the 2003 normal.dot to the templates in 2007? It works while word 2007 is running but every time you restart word, you need to manually add the normal.dot. Have you checked the "UserTemplates" location in the Word Options/Advanced (the old Extras/Options/File locations)? Perhaps it's not pointing to the folder with the Office 2003 Normal.dot? However, I recommend you make a back-up copy of your Normal.dot before you do this. Word 2003 cannot use Word 2007 templates, so if your Normal.dot gets saved as a Normal.dotm for any reason, you could have problems.
