[LMM]

I recently bought the Student & Home edition of Office 2007 and now find that
any documents I create using it cannot be read by other MS Office editions as
it is just a series of squares etc. How do I change the text so that it can
be read? Any tips would be gratefully received.

Office 2007 can save files in the old binary file format - or, you can get a
conversion pack from Microsoft to enable opening of the new xml formats in
old versions of Office programs. See
