I am using Word version 2002.
When I add a hyperlink to a document and click on it, it goes directly to
the other document - no problem. However, when I save the document. the
hyperlink address changes and then the hhyuper link will not work. for
example:

Functioning Hyper Link Address Before Saving The Document
K:\DPT-PROCEDURES\Incoming Inventory Report.pdf

Changed Hyer Link Address After Saving The Document
.../../../network/DPT-PROCEDURES/Incoming Inventory Report.pdf

When I click on this new address, the following message appears:
The address of this site is not valid. Check the address and try again.

Why does Word adjust the address on save? Any thoughts.
I am on a network. Is this something in word or in my network?

Tools options general web options files uncheck 'update links on
save'.
should stop the links changing

hi
can you check the hyperlink address is correct or not..
sometimes it having some spaces
or it may be permission problem in you network.
