When restoring a merged document to a normal word document
I lose the merged data in the footers, all that shows is the merge field name. All the other merged data in the body of the document is there except for the data in the footer. What's going on? Thank you! |

A merged document IS a normal Word Document. It sounds like you are merely
previewing the information in the mailmerge main document and then you are changing that document back to a normal Word document. I am not really surprised at what is happening when you do that. If you execute the merge, you don't need to do it. -- Please respond to the Newsgroup for the benefit of others who may be interested.
