Table of Figures
Hello,
I am trying to create a table of figures. The style of my captions is 'figures'. I try to insert a reference of table and index and in the options I select figures as the style. However, when I select OK i get an error that says "Error! no table of figures entries found!". What are some reasons why it isn't finding by figure captions? thanks in advance, |

Table of Figures
Karl,
If I recall correctly the pictures in the document have to be formatted in line. Only then will the table of figures be shown. To format the picture to be in line, in the picture toolbar which should appear when you select the picture (if it does not, rightclick and choose show picture toolbar). Click on the text wrap button and choose in line (top of the list). Hope this helps. -- Luc Sanders (MVP - PowerPoint) "Karl" schreef in bericht ... Hello, I am trying to create a table of figures. Table of Figures
Actually, the requirement is that the caption must be in the document
layer, which means that it could be a paragraph in the main body or in a frame or table cell. In practice, this means that the easiest way is to put the picture in line with text, and the caption in the paragraph below (or above) it. If you want text to wrap around the figure and its caption, you can add a frame around both of them: just select them and, on the Forms toolbar, click the Insert Frame button. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Luc" wrote in message ...
