Hi all,
Here is the problem : I need to link several Word documents to a unique central Template, in order to use the same look and feel for all the documents. Then, I defined my styles in the template and used this template in each of the documents (template attached through the Tools/Templates and Add-ins pane, and "Automatically update" checkbox checked in order to take any modification). For some of my documents, all works fine: text is displayed as expected, and styles reflect exactly that has been defined in the template. For some others, all is going bad for outline levelling and numbering. For instance : despite the fact "PseudoTitre" style is defined as "Body text" outline level in the template, Word systematically update it as "Level 1" outline level at the document opening. What's going wrong with these documents? Word version: 97 Thanks in advance, Jean-Pierre |

Hi ?B?RXhpc3BhbQ==?=,
The automatically update styles feature hasn't worked very reliably since Word 97 was introduced. It wasn't updated to take new things, such as outline levels and the new numbering into account. Do you get any better results if you use Tools/Template and Add-ins/Organize to copy the styles from the template into the documents?
