Default Words in letter have spaces in them not shown in print preview

When my letter has printed, I find spaces in different words where none
appear on the print preview version. I have deleted the word and rekeyed it,
I have justified the letter and sometimes that helps, but sometimes neither
one helps. Has anyone encountered this when using word?
