Default Scrolling with a TrackPoint or TouchPad mouse in Word 2007

I run Word on a laptop, with both the TouchPad and the TrackPoint mice, and
neither scroll feature works in Word 2007, even though it works on every
other program I run. Why, and how do i fix? Thanks

Are you saying that other programs scroll with just the movement of the
mouse pointer? I don't think so.

Hope this helps.

With the track point mouse, there is a button called hte scroll button. you
press this, and you can scroll with the movement of hte mouse. The touchPad
mouse has an option to scroll using the side of hte mouse pad. So i do think
so. the problem is that in word 2007, unlike any other program i have run,
these features do not work. Help?

Hi Barnaby,

There are several add-ins that can cause a conflict with Word 2007. Two commonly mentioned are LaserFiche and PaperPort. You may
want to check for updated versions of those products and mouse drivers from time to time as well.

If the mouse settings control panel has one for 'Universal Scrolling' you may need to add Word 2007 to the exceptions list or
disable it.
