Nancy ~
I was in the discussion board looking for the same answer to my problem. However, I went back into word and played around some more in the customize window. (View, Toolbars, Customize). Here is my response to a participant that asked me how to put "file" back on his menu bar. Hope this will solve your problem. Hello~ I have found the solution. I can't believe I overlooked it while we were looking. In the customize menu (the directions you wrote down) is the solution. On the commands tab in your customize window, on the left hand side column (categories) - near the bottom - I have the Catergory "Built-in-Menus". If you click on that category, in the commands column (right column), you have file, edit, view... (yeah)~ Next, you click on the command "File" and drag it up to your menu toolbar. While dragging you should see a box attached to your cursor. Subsequently, you will see a black line on your menu bar appear where it will be placed when you un-click your mouse. Then, you follow the same instructions with your "Edit" command. Now, I was using Office 2003 during the presentation today and I also run Office 2003 at my home. I am assuming your are also using the same. If not, these instructions not fix the problem. I hope these instructions make sense to you. If they don't, I will be more than happy to send picture instructions. "NancyQuilts" wrote: FILE no longer appeared on my WORD 2000 standard toolbar.
