Hi All

I have a very irritating problem in Word. The settings have changed so it
splits a word in half rather than move the whole word to a new line. I have
looked in tools options and format paragraph (and changed the widow controls)
but no joy.

Any help greatly appreciated

Do you have automatic hyphenation switch on, \tools\language\hyphenation
uncheck the automatic hyphenation box.

Assuming it's not hyphenating but just splitting a word arbitrarily, this is
a symptom of a damaged font (rarely) or (much more often) document
corruption; see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm.
