Form Fields
Can I lock the size of a form field to a specific size so as not to have the
text entered overflow and ruin the pagination? I'm using Word 2003. |

You can limit the number of characters your user can type into a form field
by entering a character value in the 'Maximum Length' block under the 'Text Form Field Options' dialogue box. The dialogue box is accessed by double clicking the individual field....Lenny "Irish Lady" wrote: Can I lock the size of a form field to a specific size so as not to have the text entered overflow and ruin the pagination? I tried that but no matter what # I enter for maximum length it still allows
me to keep typing. Form Fields
Are you sure you are locking the form down? Form fields inserted into a Word
document can only exist in a protected section of the document. Place the field either from the "forms toolbar", or under "insert field". There are other toolbars, but from what you are describing, you want to use the standard form toolbar. Depending on how your form is constructed, either the entire form is protected or specific sections. Once the field is locked down, you cannot enter more characters. best regards - Lenny "Irish Lady" wrote: I tried that but no matter what # I enter for maximum length it still allows me to keep typing.
