I have been trying to find a solution to an issue I have in MS Word 2003
(11.8134.8132) SP2. I have done a repair on word, deleted the normal.dot,
and other things. I have tried out several things on the internet. The
issue is that when MS Word is opened a blank document isn't shown, just the
blank word. The other issue is when a new document is opened, the margins
can't be adjusted and now new tabs can be inserted. This issue does not
occur in Safe Mode. There are no disabled Add-ins. Acrobat Pro 8 is
installed. I have changed the macro security and nothing seems to help.

Any help would be appreciated.

Disabled Add-ins wouldn't help you, those are Add-ins that aren't running, and
in your case something certainly is running.

If you use the macro described in this article, what turns up?

And which of the things listed by the macro aren't in the Tools/Com Add-ins
list? (If you don't have this in your Tools men, go to
Tools/Customize/Commands and drag it out of the Tools category into the Tools
menu.)
