Default Error on Saving Word Doc in 2003

When saving a Word 2003 document Word Crashes. The document contains Screen
shots and other images which I think is causing the problem. As Word tries
to save I am losing the network conection and various error messages are
appearing.
"There has been a file or nework Error"
"The disk is full or too many files are open"
" The save failed due to out of memory or disk space"

Have searched around for a fix to this but nothing has so far worked.

Any possible solutions would be appriciated

Hi Isit,
You may want to check your network connections. Also may want to check if
you have sufficient access rights to modify the contents of the document. Or
if you have enough rights on the drive where you are trying to save the file.
If all this doesn't work, have a look at the Virtual memory settings on your
PC.

All your suggestions have been looked at - It is literally just this
document, and a couple of others. Every other document on the same drive is
OK.
