hey all,
is there a way to ignore the spelling errors once, save the document and not have those squiggly lines come back without having to turn it off in the settings? thanks, rodchar |

I think you're asking if you can tell Word to ignore a misspelling in just
one document, but to flag it in other documents. Sort of like a custom dictionary that applies to only one document, and probably opens when the document opens. You could create a custom dictionary and attach it, but that would be a manual operation each time, and probably more trouble than toggling off the squiggly line option. You could create a custom character style called No Spelling and set the Language to skip spelling and grammar checks. You'd have to apply that manually to each word that you wanted Word to ignore in that document. I don't know of any easy way to accomplish what you want. Bear -- Windows XP, Word 2000 |
