I have a document that shows up with track changes. I can change to "final"
and the track changes disappear, which is fine. However, I want to turn the track changes off completely. Double clicking on the "TRK" in the status bar isn't doing it; Accept and/or Reject the changes is greyed out on the toolbar; Under Tools "track changes" is greyed out; Ctrl + Shift + E doesn't do it; Selecting the text and trying any of the above doesn't do it I have tried everything that I can think of, in addition to suggestions offered in previous "Posts" within this Forum. Would anyone have any additional suggestions? Thanks in advance - RPM |

Turning off Track Changes just stops Word from tracking any further changes.
To remove the markup from the document you must use Accept All Changes in Document (on the menu you get when you click the arrow beside the Accept Change button on the Reviewing toolbar) and Delete All Comments in Document (Reject Change/Delete Comment menu). -- Suzanne S. Hello Suzanne:
As always, my appreciation for your response(s). However, in this case I am unable to either accept or reject all changes, in that the applicable feature/option is "greyed out" on the toolbar. Any other suggestions or thoughts? :-) Thanks - Rod "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Turning off Track Changes just stops Word from tracking any further changes.
