I have an excel object embedded into word. If I open the excel object and
then click on word to close it, the object size changes.

It is reported on MS knowledge base as issue 257713, but still happens on
Word 2003.

Is there a solution?.

I've not seen this behavior in some time... can't remember it happening in
2003 at all.

Keep in mind that there will be some degree of difference because the column
& row headings, scroll bars, sheet tabs, etc. only display while editing the
object. The actual object size based on number of columns/rows & their
respective heights/widths should be remaining constant, however.

Believe me. It happens in Word 2003. Sometimes, going back from Excel to Word
the object size gets narrower but the excel image remains the same size, so
there is a part in the image you can't see.
