Default Opening link to Excel Chart

When opening a hypertext link to an Excel Document from word it is giving out
a message about VB runtime error:

Runtime Error 9, Subscript Out of Range.

And asks about a debug. What is causing this error? And how do we stop this,
if we do not debug it takes us into the excel chart fine, if we click debug
it takes us into Excel fine but I do not know if it has any effect on work
saved.

What is causing this?
