Word 2007 Home Edition
How do you save the file as a .doc file instead of a .doc.docx? The default
file format cannot be sent to people who are using the professional version of Word. |

Word 2007 Home Edition
Either use Save As and change the Save As type (at the bottom of the dialog
box) to Word 97-2003 Document or click the Microsoft Office Button, point at Save As (do not click Save As) and then from the flyout, click Word 97-2003 Document. Also note you can set your default Save As format to Word 97-2003 as well. To do so, click the Microsoft Office Button, click Word Options (at the bottom), and in the Save section you'll find the "Save files in this format" option. Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup.
