I have a folder with about 10 files in it and all of a sudden today they are
all password protected with my network password. I think I would have
remembered putting a password on one of my documents and I know I would have
remembered putting it on all of them and I don't remember doing that.

Is there a setting somewhere that automatically applies a password and
protects a document?
