Ruler goes away when Word is closed
The horizontal ruler goes away when Word is closed. One must select it again
from the View menu. Is there a way to ensure that the rules is on (assuming the user in the in the correct view, such at Printer View. Co-worker is getting crankly about this. |

Ruler goes away when Word is closed
What version of Word is this? In Word 2007 and 2003, when you open Word, the
ruler state should be the same as it was when you last closed Word. Are you encountering this problem on multiple computers, or just one? If just one, then the likely problem is the Data registry key. When Word is unable to remember settings such as this one, a corrupted Data key is the usual cause. I would try renaming or deleting the Data key to see if it cures Word's amnesia.
