When I highlight text with my mouse and then press the backspace button, it
used to delete everything that was highlighted and I have always typed this way. Now, it just takes the highlighting off of the text but does not delete. I actually have to press the delete button which works but I am aggravated that I cannot figure out what I changed to make this stop working. The backspace button itself works fine when I use it to backspace in the text but not when I highlight text. Weird - help? Neen |

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit | check the "Typing replaces
selection" box | OK. "neen" wrote: When I highlight text with my mouse and then press the backspace button, it used to delete everything that was highlighted and I have always typed this way.
