Default How do I stop new documents from opening in the header?

Whenever I open a new document in Word, my cursor starts in the header
section. To get to the body, I need to go to view - header and footer and
then click out of the header into the body text. How can I get my cursor to
be directly in the body section?

Thanks, Harvey, but that wasn't it. When I opened the normal.dot, it was
fine. The cursor was right in the body where it should be.

It's not really in the header (if it were, you would see the dotted outline
and the word "Header"). In fact, the header is hidden; see
