Default Word 2007 - Autocorrect äccents"

Please help! When I'm typing & need to use single and double quote marks,
Word 2007 is autocorrecting them to become accents (see Subject!). For this
NOT to happen automatically, I have to type the quote symbol, then press the
spacebar (or press the quote symbol twice so there are no letters). I've
looked everywhere and can't find how to turn this off. Anybody have any
ideas? Thanks!

Check if you have the correct keyboard specified in Control Panel, and
possibly also if you have the correct language specified in Word.
