I have a 20 page document which is all in numbered ouline format. I
manually created a table of contents, (not using the table of contents function which I recently discovered but can't get to work) but when I copy and paste the table of contents in it merges the two numbered outlines into one list, pressing the "paste as new list" makes no difference, neither does "restart numbering" which just changes the 1st level heading but the second and third levels carry on from the first list, so instead of 1. a for example I have 1. f. I even tried pasting a few pages of ordinary text in between the two lists before I pasted, to then delete later in the hope that it wouldn't merge the lists, but to no avail. Any ideas greatly appreciated! |
