Hi Helovesso,
Office 2003 was the last edition in which MS included the Speech recognition capability on the Office CD as an optional install (U.S. English, Japanese and Chinese only) through your Microsoft Office choice in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows(XP) control panel. For Office 2007 MS moved the responsibility for dictation features back to the Windows OS folks. It's a bit tricky and not as useful in Windows XP but is a Windows Vista feature that has some pluses and minuses compared to having it provided as part of Office. 3rd party packages for speech to text such as those on http://nuance.com may be better suited to your needs and work in both versions. ============= " wrote in message ...
