I have the new 2007 Word, and I finally figured out how to use what was
formerly known as autotext...but it doesn't use my default text! So, instead of saving time, I have to go back over the autotext to change the font to what the rest of my document is. How can I change the default autotext font?? |

Ideally, Building Blocks should work with the current document Theme or more
specifically, Theme Fonts. That is, the body of your document should use the (Body) font and your Building Block should use the same font. That way, when you insert it into your document it will automatically use the (Body) font for the document. Additionally, if you change your Theme Fonts then your document, and any previously inserted Building Blocks, will also automatically update to the new (Body) font. To get a better idea of how this should work, create a new document based on any installed template and insert a Header/Footer/ or a Cover Page. (These galleries use Building Blocks). Note how the inserted Building Block automatically matches the font used in the document. Then on the Page Layout tab, in the Themes group, click Fonts and select a new Font set. The first font will be your (Headings) font and the second font listed will be your (Body) font. Note how the previously inserted Building Block automatically updates to the same font used in the document. So if your document uses the (Body) font and you use the (Body) font for your Building Blocks entries you'll obtain the same results in your document. Note that you can create your own set of Theme Fonts if those provided do not meet your needs. Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup.
