I'm sure Word 2007 has help on this, but I can't find it.

Anyway when I go to page setuplayoutHeaders and footersfrom edge, what
does the "from edge do?"

I would imagine it determines the header/footer margin.

It is simply clarifying that the setting is from the edge of the page and
not from the page margin (as set under the Margins tab).

Perhaps added for WordPerfect migrants, who are used to the header/footer
margin being added to the page margin rather than within it?
