I have Word XP and Vista. When I pressed show/hide key which sows the tabs,
spaces etc t in order to hide the guides only part of them disappeared? How
to clear all of them?

Kalevi,
You are talking about the non-printing characters that show in your
document?
Maybe check, Tools - Options - view tab - in the middle of the dialogue -
uncheck all individual boxes in the non-printing characters and check show
all.
