How to make zoom sticky?
I want the zoom setting to remain at 125%, but it keeps switching back
to 100%. Is there some way to make this setting sticky? -- Drawing on my fine command of the English language, I said nothing. ....Robert Benchley |

How to make zoom sticky?
Same for 2007? Because I did a global search for the .dot file and it didn't
find one. ???? "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/SaveViewAndZoom.htm -- Suzanne S. For Word 2007 you'll need to modify Normal.dotm.

Anyway, when opening normal.dot, the zoom is 125%, so I'm not sure why Word is sometimes opening at 100% -- Drawing on my fine command of the English language, I said nothing. ....Robert Benchley |

If you have Word already open and have just closed a document and create a
new one, Word has a bad habit of applying the settings of the previous document window. I have not taken the time to experiment and analyze exactly what it does--this is just an impression--but I've seen it with other display issues such as display of nonprinting characters, field codes, etc. When you start Word from scratch, however, the blank document should reflect the settings of the Normal template. -- Suzanne S. New docs open at 100% instead of 125% more than half the time. This kinda thing has been a Word bug forever... -- The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds.
