Default display of times new roman 12 point in word 2007

Hi - just started using Word 2007. Here's an annoying thing: on
screen, the display of Times New Roman 12 point type is all strange -
the spaces between words are irregularly sized. It prints just fine,
so it's something about the display that is messed up. Any advice?

Click the Office button, and then click Word Options. In the Popular
category, check the "Always use ClearType" option. In the Advanced category,
clear the "Optimize character positioning for layout rather than
readability" option (under "Display"). Click OK.
