Default Copy shapes to clip board

I need to copy an arrow shape from word to clipboard to use in an other
windows application. However, I want to copy the pure shape without the white
surrounds.
How can I do that?

Default Copy shapes to clip board

Do you get a choice of formats when you *paste special*? If you are copying an
autoshape from Word, there should be no white space if you *paste special* as a
..wmf.
