Question applies to Word 2007
I created a custom level 1 heading (DFU Heading 1) which has numbering like 1, 2, 3... Based on that heading, I created a custom level 2 heading (DFU Heading 2) which has numbering like 1.1, 1.2, ... This worked fine for the first sections as shown in the format below. 1 1.1. 1.2. 1.3. The current formatting options are as follows: Font: 18 pt, Indent: Left: 0.75", Hanging: 0.75", Level 2, Border: Bottom: (Single solid line, Auto, 1.5 pt Line width), Outline numbered + Level: 2 + Numbering Style: 1, 2, 3, €¦ + Start at: 1 + Alignment: Left + Aligned at: 0.31" + Indent at: 0.61", Style: Linked, Automatically update, Quick Style, Based on: Normal, Following style: Normal Thanks Nick Piazza 1.4. However, when I started a new section with DFU Heading 1, followed by a DFU Heading 2, I got the following format. 2 1.5. How do I get DFU Heading 2 to base its numbering on DFU Heading 1 so that I would get the following? 2 2.1 |
