Drop caps option is grayed out in Word 2007
I have a table with three rows. The first column contains text. When I
highlight a paragraph then go to Insert the Drop Caps option in the Text group is grayed out. I need to know what can I do to create a Drop Cap for the first letter in this paragraph. -- Cheers, John |

This is because drop caps can't be added in table cells (or text boxes),
unfortunately. You will have to fake it, by adding direct formatting (or a character style) to format text. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "happydude" wrote in message ... Happydude,
As far as I know you cannot use a drop cap in a table. The reason being that drop caps are inserted in a frame and you cannot use a frame in a table. -- Luc Sanders (MVP - PowerPoint) "happydude" schreef in bericht ... I have a table with three rows.
