Default Fields highligted in office 2007 everytime a character is type

Hi all
Everytime a character is type in a form that was created in Word that
particular field becomes shaded.

This is normal. The text form fields (and their contents) in a protected
document are shaded in grey.

Don't believe the document is protected, the shading is blue could it be
turn-off?

If the file type is Word 2007, what you are describing is probably a content
control. As far as I know, you cannot change its color.
