Am going on vacation and need to take work with me. Where is the auto text
file located (what is it called)? Can I copy and paste it to my laptop as an addendum or do I over ride what I already have there. This is word 2000. How about contacts. Again do I merely copy and paste them to my laptop. Have done this with WordPerfect many times but am not that familiar with MS Word Thank you again. -- manny sue |

Autotext is stored in templates, by default in the normal.dot template. If
you have the same version of Word on your laptop you can simply copy normal.dot over the normal.dot there, otherwise use the macro organizer (ALT+F8 Organizer) to copy the entries from one template to the other. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org manny sue wrote: Am going on vacation and need to take work with me.
