Okay, new laptop with Vista -- trial version of Office included. My previous
Word documents (XP student and teacher edition) were moved to this computer and now are Office 2007 documents. I can't edit them or save them as any other type of document. This computer has WORKS for word processing and I would use it if I could. How do I recover my files? Tried downloading the compatibility program, but didn't work. |

You are going to have to take those files to another computer that either
has Word 2007 or has the compatibility pack downloaded. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] ~~~~~ How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375 "Patsy" wrote in message news ![]() Okay, new laptop with Vista -- trial version of Office included.
