I created a form that I want others to fill in the blanks. I have it
protected for fill in the blank only. When I e-mail it to someone, they aren't able to fill in the blanks. The design mode is automatically on when they receive the file. If they unprotect it, turn off the design mode and then re-protect it, the document works fine. What gives? How can I just send it where others can simply fill in the blanks? Please help. |

It seems as if you have been using ActiveX controls which, as a result of
security settings, always force Word to open in Design mode. Use form fields instead. See http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customizat...nTheBlanks.htm, especially the linked articles by Dian D Chapman. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "randi" wrote in message ...
