Hi there,
Need some help with the following two problems. 1. Create two sets of tables that must each run numerically. For example set one muct have a field that counts A1, A2, A3 etc. For set two also a unique count field, B1, B2, B3 etc. Each of these tables will also have a unique name / title. 2. I then need a 'contents' table that will take A1, A2, B1, B2 etc and link ther respective titles. I hope this is enough information to help. Thanks, Patch |

This is doable, but we need to know exactly what you mean by (2). Do you
mean that A1 should be followed by A2 in the TOC? This is going to be quite difficult unless they follow chronologically in the document. -- Suzanne S. Yes - ideally I would like the TOC to ordered numerically. If not possible, I
will have to do manually I guess. Your assistance is appreciated. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: This is doable, but we need to know exactly what you mean by (2). I suppose you could create the TOC automatically, then (when editing is
complete), unlink it and sort it as desired. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "Patch" wrote in message ... Yes that would work. Are you able to talk me through my queries please? I am
a bit of a table novice. Thanks. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: I suppose you could create the TOC automatically, then (when editing is complete), unlink it and sort it as desired. -- Suzanne S. I'm just leaving for a weekend out of town, but I imagine someone else can
help. I think it's more of a numbering issue than a table issue. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "Patch" wrote in message ... Yes that would work.
