I set up endnotes but then decided not to use the endnote feature at all. I
can not seem to be able to turn off / remove / cancel the endnote feature (including the line that starts the endnotes). I can delete a particular endnote fine, just not all endnotes with the line and formating. |

If there is a quick way (ie one click) I don't know of it, but I have doe the
following. Using the Select Browse Object (the Circle with blue double arrows above and below) in the bottom right corner of the Word window (below the scroll bar)? One of the options here is "Browse by Endnote", select this, then use the blue arrows to "search" each Endnote marker, delete, delete each marker in turn. They should all be gone at the end of this process. This is for 2003 and prior, maybe different for 2007. Hope this helps.
