Hi there
Is there anyway in Word 2003 that I can tell the TOC not to update on opening the document? Sometimes it takes a minute or so to open our large documents. Can I turn it off and manually update? I'm familiar with VBA if that's the way to go. Thanks! |

You could lock the TOC (Ctrl+F11; Ctrl+Shift+F11 to unlock), but ordinarily
fields are not updated at open. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "sarah1234" wrote in message ...
